'Pay $30'

Ok, so Catelynn doesn't want to pay $30 per therapy session (or as she said, when she has her panic attacks), but is willing to drop $3,000 for just the horse, plus $600-$1,000 per month for boarding, plus a whole bunch of other costs that I'm sure there are for horses?!

Oh, but wait, it would be hers! *eye roll*

That's like whichever girl it was on "16 and Pregnant" that said she didn't want to go on the pill because it might make her gain weight.

Mackenzie.. What a nitwit.

Yeah, instead of just paying for a little while to see if she even enjoys being around horses for an extended period of time, let's take on the huge responsibility of owning one.

If she can't even find the energy to take care of her kid, she's not going to be able to keep up with the demands of a horse.

That's for sure. I had a friend in junior high who owned a horse, and I swear it was just like it would have been if she'd had a human child who needed her constant attention: "I can't go to the party because I have to groom Megan; I can't do chorus because I need to ride Megan; I can't go shopping because I'm cleaning Megan's tack", etc. She really put 100% into that horse, and especially for a kid of around 13 it was pretty impressive. It was a huge amount of work, but she seemed to love every minute of it, even the gross parts like mucking out the stall. I don't think Cate could do the bare minimum even if she pays people to help her with a lot of it. There's no way she's going to "bond" with that horse or any other animal if she won't spend quality time with it.

I predict the exact same thing with the pig will happen with the horse. She will pay a huge sum to get it. It will make her feel better about herself for 5 minutes, and then BOOM she realizes she made a HUGE mistake.

The horse will be sold to another person and Catelynn will be just as miserable.

Someone get Catelynn a calculator.

Buy: Cost: $3000 + Boarding: $1000/month + Vet Bills + 40 Hours/month minimum

$1200 approx./month

Rent: $30/session

One session per day: $900/month
One session per week: $120/month
One session per month: $30/month

and you know she isn't going to be getting her butt off the couch everyday...

She's an idiot, not only does she have to buy and board the horse, she was even talking about buying a horse trailer so she can transport it between the stable and her house. She thinks she's actually going to do all that. She is talking like she will keep the horse in her yard and ride it whenever she feels anxious. Not just any old yard is suitable for having a horse and she doesn't have any sort of barn or shelter, does she even have a fence? Idiot. Paying $30 to ride a horse makes much more sense and requires much less effort. And we know Catelynn doesn't like to exert any effort.

The horse industry has plummeted in the last 10 years. $3000 is outrageous for a regular ole trail horse. In Tennessee you can buy a good one for $500.

She thinks the horse is going to be under her command or some *beep* It's utterly ridiculous.
