The cake
Ew. It wasn't even wrapped up. Just tossed in the freezer.
shareI know. I thought the same thing... they couldn't find a more stable container like Tupperware or wrap some aluminum foil around it or something??
shareSince it was loosely wrapped and literally on top of everything else, I believe it was unwrapped and set on top in preparation for that scene or a few days prior just because the anniversary was a few days away. I noticed that the frosting seemed a little smooth and pliable while the cake was hard indicative perhaps of partial defrosting.
shareIt was so revolting. Catelynn needs slim fast, not cake.
shareShe also needs someone to help her out with that tragic wardrobe of hers. Those boxy cut frumpy housewife shirts from Walmart aren't doing her any favors.
shareI still can't believe people even put cake in freezers in the first place. I mean a cake that's been frozen for who knows how long then thawed out again can't be good. And I guess it used to be tradition for people to freeze a piece of their wedding cake. Ick.
shareOh if it's wrapped in saran wrap and foil, it will be good and no freezer burn taste at all. Ive done it.
shareThe tradition is to freeze the top layer of the wedding cake until 1st anniversary. Can't even remember if I did that.
shareI just ate my year old cake from my wedding. I wrapped it as the bakery instructed. It tastes like it did on my wedding day.
shareThat look absolutely disgusting. That being said, husband and I wrapped the top tier off of our wedding cake.... in aluminum foil.... and ate it as dessert on our first wedding anniversary. It was soooo good. The difference was that we wrapped it tightly, in multiple layers and then defrosted it completed, while wrapped, before eating it.
You've got red on you.
