Maci's clothing line bashed for size options?

I looked up TTM out of sheer curiosity, and while the clothes are nothing special, I found several stories about a sizing controversy. Apparently the shirts only run from XS to MED and some feel this might make women feel self conscious. Anyone else feel that is absolutely ridiculous??

There are stores geared specifically towards larger men and women, what's wrong with clothing geared towards smaller people?

reply

No, I don't think it's ridiculous people feel that way. Normal size range options are XS - XL or XXL. I wear a L because I'm tall with a bigger frame. Plus-size clothing stores offer extra size options. Anyway, they must have added sizes since that article because I looked and all their clothes go up to XL or XXL.

Dexter: I would give everything to feel nothing again.

I see what you mean Calico. True, size ranges absolutely should include L - XXL, but some of the comments people made seemed a bit extreme to me.

My feet have wings, barf bag.

It's not a huge clothing line. Maybe carrying all sizes would just be too much production for now and is possibly planning to expand it later.

Thays what im thinking. The larger the size, the more material needed to make the shirt. But making a bit less in smaller sizes tk leave room for larger sizes can fix that. They might be losing profit because a person who needs a large obviously cant buy one.

I don't think it has to do with them having something against bigger people lol.

I agree NotForMe. The Radar online article showed some comments from women who felt Maci was making women feel self-conscious because of the size options. That just seemed to be a bit of annover reaction to me. Again, just my opinion.

A large majority of t shirt websites charge an extra dollar or two for larger sizes.

I'm plus size and I really dont want her clothes, but most places do provide size large, even if they dont have xl or plus sizes. and if they are junior fit clothes she definitely needs to make size large, as those clothes run on the smaller side anyway.

People these days get to butt hurt over things way to easily. Lane Bryant is considered plus size store, I think skinny people should be offended that they don't carry clothes for smaller people! I'm sure it's making skinny people feel "self conscious". I honesty think people need to find a hobby instead of complaining about everything!!

I once walked into a Lane Bryant store having no idea what it was, with my two larger friends. MAN! If looks could kill I'd have been dead on the spot.

I think it's definitely ridiculous. People get butt hurt way too easily.
