Ironically, I think he was arrested in the past for assaulting Derek when Michael caught him and Farrah in bed in the family home when she was a teen. He obviously loves to fight for Farrah!!

But I do think it's sweet that he defends her but thinking she's an angel is probably one of the reasons she is the way she is.
I didn't get that either. It wasn't like Matt was going after Farrah, he was going after Simon. Why jump in, especially since he doesn't like Simon anyway.
