Is this the only reality show where most of the cast doesn't do anything

As in going to work or to school?

Like The Challenges
Most people on the show can't survive on just the prize money and the minimal fee they get to participate. People like Johnny Bananas are an exception because he wins constantly so basically this IS his job. Most of people have jobs or careers outside of the show because MTV doesn't guarantee they will ask you back. Some people do one challenge to never be heard from again.

The Reality shows on Bravo
Vanderpump Rules - These people are party animals living the LA life but almost most of the cast work in the restaurant the show is set around. They're waitresses and bartenders that interesting drama that pulls at the heartstrings of Andy Cohen

The Real Housewives franchise
I don't think I need to go into much detail about this franchise. Most of them are women who have businesses and have careers. If they don't do much it's because their husbands are the ones who are loaded enough for them to not have to work. They just get involved in charities etc and have cat fights.

Below Deck
This is a show about people who live and work on a ship so they can cater to people who have vacations on a yacht/ship.

Married to Medicine
A show about doctors and their spouses. Most of the spouses are also involved in things in the entrepreneurial sense and are friends with people in the industry

Million Dollar Listing wherever
A show about Real Estate Agents battling to be known as the top dog in the real estate world

Top Chef
Their job is to impress the judges to win the competition so they can have their own restaurant and be known as one of the top chefs in the country. Oh yeah and keep winning money if they win a challenge.

Those House Flipping Shows on Hgtv
Yeah people who flip houses for a living. Also that fits into the category is the people who are paid to stage and reorganize homes

Bad Girls Club
Most of these girls are either strippers or girls who just have regular jobs. They're only in the house for less than 3 months anyway

All those reality shows on E!
Botched is about doctors who perform plastic surgery

Divas are about women who work in the wrestling entertainment industry

Keeping Up With the Kardashians
I mean we all know what they do

WAGS
Women who are in relationships with people in Sports but like I said before they're involved in SOMETHING

Really, I can go on and on but you guys get the point

Almost every reality show has people who do something for a living. Even The Bachelor. Some of the women are teachers. Lawyers. Doctors. Trainers.

This show amazes me sometimes because I've realized that since these girls have been 16, they really haven't done much with the exception of Kailyn, Farrah, and Maci. I added Maci because she did go to college and I think she did graduate but since then she just has the T-shirt company. I've come to the conclusion that she's lying about going to work because she would have said it by now. For now she has the MTV money flowing in and the T-shirt company that probably does well locally.

Man, when you have time, it's crazy what you think about lol

Yeah. Even the original Real World cast had jobs or were students.

The only exception is Big Brother, for obvious reasons.

Please excuse the double reply but I wanted to add that I think it's because they started filming Teen Mom when they were so young. If you count 16 and pregnant - I guess 15/16 years old. So they have grown accustomed to always having that paycheck from MTV. I doubt it's a ton of money but obviously enough to live quite comfortably in the Midwest. If they were in a big city like New York, they'd all have to get real jobs.

No. In 2011 court records showed that Amber made 250,000 in 2010 for TM. They may double that or close to it now. Adam isn't even a main character (none of the dads are really) and his pay ended at 200,000 one year. Oh they are making money. Believe me. That's why people are disgusted with them for making what others don't make with degrees and life long careers.

Wow. I didn't know that. They are really paid well. I can imagine how that had shaped their reality and enabled them to be complete low lives. It's kinda like winning the lottery as their is no motivation to try to do anything worthwhile for a lot of winners.

Maci is a cot damn lie. She doesn't work. Maybe she had a little something when the show went off the air between 2012-2014 and then they started filming again and THAT became her bread and butter again. It disgusted me season 1 when she said in a segment she quit her job for the summer so she could spend time with Bentley. Uh hello!! Who does that in real life unless your some filthy rich teenager who lives off mommy and daddy and didn't need to work over the summer. Then she harrassed Rhine about unemployment benefits paying child support while you lay on your a$$ all summer with Kow. Maci is lazy too. She will do whatever she can from home as long as she has to. She said a few years ago she wanted to be a...I don't remember the job but basically it was someone who tweets about businesses and gets paid lol. She ain't trying to work just like Cate and Ty. Speaking of them, it's gonna be hard for them when the show is done. I can see Ty doing anything to make money and support them but I bet Cate won't lift a finger to help him in terms of getting a job too. She'll watch him work his fingers to the bone while he comes home to a dirty smelly house and seeing her un showered and Nova walking around playing alone in the middle of the floor. What's she gonna do all day when Nova is school age in 3 years? My my my

I agree that Maci is super lazy. She always complains about taking care of her kids! Why have more then?!?!?

She also complains to no end about "helping" Taylor with the tshirt business. As if she isn't reaping the benefits.

catelynn I couldn't see working a real job in a million years. She is lazier than Amber. She can't even shower let alone go back to school to become a counselor like she said she wanted to.

I only from the cast that really worked was Farrah. I remember she when worked at a pizza shop. Everyone else just chilled out at home.

Despite her flaws (and they are huge!), she is absolutely driven to succeed and hardworking. I don't think Farrah will ever be broke.
