Would Tyler and Cate be marketable apart?

I've seen a lot of posts regarding how it's become obvious Tyler is not as attracted to Cate as he may have been in the past. I could actually see it in some of their early Teen Mom episodes. I think the issue is, unlike the other girls, MTV showcased them as a couple, it was never just about Catelynn. Because they have always been known as T&C, if they were to break up, I seriously doubt they'd be as marketable.

If they split, MTV would still feature Cate as a Teen Mom, and Tyler would be a supporting character...but it seems a lot of what they do outside of the show is as Tyler & Catelynn. I don't think they would get the publicity they do as a couple if they were apart. I get the feeling Tyler probably realizes this, and feels stuck.

Absolutely not. They are only marketable together as the unlikely couple that bra t the odds.

Without Tyler, Catelynn is just a fat slob with nothing quite that interesting about her.

Tyler isn't good looking enough to be a hit single draw. No way.

I feel at this point it's so painfully obvious that Tyler is just forcing himself to be attracted to Caitlyn because they are both so afraid to leave each other. He doesn't look at her like she's his beautiful wife, you can tell in his eyes he thinks she's a fat lazy slob and feels trapped.

As Ive said in another thread, this is a middle school relationship that has gone on long past it's shelf life. This was not built on an adult foundation where two people have dated others, experienced other people, lived a little and then got in a relationship. He married her because it was the next logical step. He pretty much had one foot out the door a few years ago. She is so damn needy and co dependant that she would try to kill herself if he left her. Im very serious about that. He can't $hit without her standing outside the door to see how much toilet paper he needed. She is grossly pathetic and self loathing. Tyler has potential and can be doing so many great things outside of a Mtv and reality tv. I never saw Cate as a go getter and neither did Kim, Tyler's mom. You can tell that she doesn't care for Cate and is on to her.

I agree with you one hundred percent. I can imagine Cate functioning without Tyler.

Tyler is resilient and we see that, we've seen that for 8 years now. Cate would lose her mind even further if he left her. She would take care of Nova less than she does now. I feel like he wants to leave but would feel less than a man and father if he did. He can still be a huge part of Nova's life without Cate. He needs someone to challenge him, not a sack of potatoes wrapped in a cocoon watching Netflix all day

I meant Cate couldn't function without Tyler.

She would absolutely lose her mind and poor little Nova would be given over to Tyler because I don't think she would be safe with Catelynn being so fragile.

Tyler deserves someone to challenge him in a positive way and not being him down constantly with their depression and moods. He also takes care of himself health wise and deserves someone more fit than Catelynn. She looked huge on the dr.drew special.
