Dr. Drew Persistent about Ryan and his dad

I thought it made Dr. Drew look pretty bad when he asked Maci and then Ryan about details about the argument with Ryan and his dad, and clearly nobody wanted to talk about it. Then when Ryan's girlfriend comes out, he asks her too. Like she was going to explain with them all sitting there!

I also didn't buy Dr. Drew getting emotional with all of them.

And I wonder why the dad was really unable to make it! Surely it wouldn't be to avoid the topic.

It's what he gets paid to do.

That's Dr. Drew's job is to ask those questions. Everyone or at least tons of people are wondering what happened and what the fight was about, the whole reason for the reunion shows is to ask and talk about things that happened on the show

reply

I know that it's his job, though I could do what he does on these reunion shows and I'm no doctor. I understand that he has to ask about it, but after a couple of times it was clear that they weren't going to give the details. The girlfriend certainly wasn't. He could have at least changed his tactic, rather than always saying, 'I never really understood all that happened. Could you explain?"

reply

Well as I said its his job, and as you've stated you know that, so this is why he kept asking. If he had only asked once people would be saying "he let them off to easily, he should have tried harder". I defiantly saw nothing wrong with him asking them a few times.

reply

Are you kidding? It was absolutely rude that when Ryan and maci and his mom refused to say anything he starts in on Ryan's girlfriend like she was going to go behind his back and talk about his personal stuff while he's sitting right there. Ryan had just said what he was going to say and he expected his girlfriend to turn around and undercut him? He looked incredibly rude and even worse when he made Ryan cry.

reply

Thank you, finally someone agrees with me.

reply

It was rude and awkward, I was like damn get the hint nobody wants to discuss it. I was surprised he didn't ask Kristina about her daughters illness.

reply

You say that you aren't a doctor, Dr. Drew isn't a medical doctor either. He has a PhD, not a MD. Just a fyi.

reply

Actually you are wrong. Dr. Drew Pinsky is an internist and absolutely has an MD.

reply

Although I agree with you, he's still very soft in his questioning. He would be awful at interrogating someone.

reply

lol he'd have to be the 'good cop.'

reply

I could totally see that. Sitting by the suspect stroking the their ego saying "I know you didn't mean to do this, it's ok. Just tell us what happened exactly."

Lol!
