Gary was being reasonable

OMG let's give Amber an Academy Award for that performance on the couch. Talk about melodramatic. I didn't even see any real tears.

"I'm done! I'm done!"

"I never hear you speak and when you do you apologize for saving me?"

reply

She complains that Gary never lets her have Leah , then he says " your supposed to have her every weds and you haven't gotten her on weds in a year" then confronted with facts she fakes some tears and says "my depression " bla bla

reply

Exactly. Anytime anyone makes a valid point or truth she doesn't wanna hear, she either walks off stage mad or has a temper tantrum.
Definitely an avoidance mechanism. I hate when people do that. Some in my family do too. Grow Up!
She was called out for claiming to want more visitation, but not seeing her regularly now.
Good for Gary not coddling her like Dr. Drew.

Yeah, Amber seems to have a history of that - having an emotional freakout and refusing to listen when someone is making a good, rational point that she doesn't like. It's sad to see because Gary seemed like he was trying to be a responsible parent and understanding of Amber's challenges.

While I think it was a good idea that Dr. Drew enlisted Kristina to communicate with Amber since Amber obviously still is driven to meltdowns by Gary, it felt a little bit like Gary was being made to seem unfairly unreasonable.

Gary was incredibly polite and patient on the show. He's being completely reasonable and thank God he provides stability for Leah.
