Remember Tyler Talking Negative About Them And Butch Going Against Them To Meet Carly. It's Sad They Gave Her Up And This Could Be The Reason Behind It All IMO.
Excellent point. I see Brandon and Theresa and sort of conservative. I wouldn't put it past them to see the pot smoking as something very serious that they would close the adoption over. They also have fair warning to Tyler and Cate to stop posting photos. I think they were reasonable to ask them to not post stuff. Maybe the Tyler being tough and standoff his ground about not caving into Brandon and Theresa was a ruse. The real real reason they close the adoption could be different.
I recall cate saying having a relationship with Carly was a priority above the show. Also, Tyler seemed a tad too upset over the not posting thing and rambling on how B and T would only hurt Carly. Hmmm.
I never thought of that But it COMPLETELY makes sense. And they have stopped talking about BnT abs Carly all together!!! I'm sure it'll come out at the reunion
shareI thought she stopped talking about them because Teresa asked them to stop? Every time they would talk on the phone Cate would come back aND rehash their conversations on camera a million times so Teresa asked her to stop doing that.

shareI think it was a combination of real postpartum depression, dealing with a pregnancy and raising Nova after placing Carly (which probably brought up a lot of stuff), and then Brandon and Theresa limiting the adoption further. They said they would never close it because they couldn't do that to Carly, but closed is what they originally wanted. They ended up changing their minds and going with the most restrictive open adoption plan available, then planned to periodically reevaluate and change things over time.
I think they didn't realize that Catelynn and Tyler would continue with MTV past the original 16 & Pregnant and started to think about protecting Carly's privacy which included asking them not to talk about their family on camera. I don't think it's all adoption related though.

It's possible. I do doubt the adoption was officially closed, I think someone would have dug up papers on that, but I do believe B&T are being distant. That not knowing what's going on and wanting answers is hard on Catelynn, obviously.
I think marriage and becoming a mom has made Catelynn complacent. For years that was her sole focus, and now that she has them, and they didn't make everything better, there's nothing left. But, she nabbed her man, so she's free to let herself go. Her body and mind reflect this. She's packed on a ton of weight after Nova's birth and has apparently turned into a full-time sloth. She couldn't even sit up at her therapy sessions.
