Cheap manipulative ending to drum up support for a sequel

Nothing doing jerkos, you don't get no sequel.

Did this movie feel like a made-for-tv Syfy channel film to anyone else? No big-name actors, too much time spent in the apartment and around the building, lots of speculation among the characters, broadly-painted caricatures of people. The only thing missing from this movie is Mark Singer. Thanks everyone for the 4.4 rating, it is well deserved.

No, it just seemed like a low-budget sci-fi movie made by a bunch of special-effects people. For one thing, unlike Made For Syssify movies, it didn't have a bunch of soldiers running around yelling, shooting guns, and blowing stuff up real good for half of its length. Well, there were a few things that blowed up real good - like nuking the mothership, and Oliver using the kitchen stove as a WMD - and there were people running around yelling, just not soldiers with guns. Oh, and better CGI than you typically see in a Syssify movie.
