We want your brains

"SPOILERS" "SPOILERS" "SPOILERS"
OK, lets say I buy the premise of the movie; the aliens need human brains to be put into new aliens and machines.
The ending implies that when the brain is in the new body it carries the human personality and memories with it.
Lets say the aliens (allowing for wastage) get 5 billion brains from Earth.
Haven't they created 5 billion enemies equivalent in strength to themselves?

That would all depend on whether the brains are put into some kind of conditioning to weed out resistance, and the boyfriend was already affected by the aliens "blue light thing" that he had built up a resistance to any kind of control so when they took his brain it said "no way hosé" and just went on a rampage against the aliens...

I'm sure there could have been others who were also in a similar boat but we don't know.

That's my theory on why he was able to fight back in the alien body.
