I dropped into this movie about halfway thru, and what struck me immediately is that the aliens seemed to be just a huge extension of the vagina dentata misogynistic myth. An alien takes the guy's brain and uses light up tentacles to shove it into its vagina shaped orifice... the walking around aliens have gaping vaginal maws with which they consume people...

Not to mention every woman in the film is portrayed as weak and unhinged...

I just wanted to point it out to... well... anyone...

Didn't think about it while watching it, but I agree. Also only the guys get "heroic" deaths (or in this case, less cheap-looking deaths).
