Little girl's eating habits?

Did they ever mention why the little girl had eating issues? I figured since she seemed interested in acting that she felt pressured to one day look like.....well like Jennifer Aniston or Brooklyn Decker.

Yeah, i want to know too. Maybe you are right that she wanted to stay thin to get into acting but i never heard why she didnt want to eat.

I agree, sort of. The whole character was taking the piss out of the whole obsession of acting and appearance as a profession: overacting, accents, acting classes, her greatest moment of sadness... Not sure if all the self-irony really worked over all, the film was essentially too close to what it intended to critique, but I found the way her character was drawn quite amusing at times.
