I think I saw an interview where he said he was totally freaked out whenever the camera was rolling and felt completely out of his depth. It doesn't show at all though as he does a great job.
I don't really know much about him but I would like to see more of him too.
He was awesome. The same thought crossed my mind, but someone above says I guess he was out of his comfort zone. But a few more movies, and he'll be right as rain.

Also, Dave lives up here and records at Lang Studio's where I also record/work so I'll bet I could introduce you... He's nice, just a normal guy like most musicians (with a few local exceptions)...
