So the girl didn't find it odd that "Devlin" was ULTRA high maintenance when they first met and completely approachable throughout the rest of their time together... To the point that she was wearing cut off shorts and a FANNY pack for crying out loud...

Thanks, you saved me starting a thread.

It did seem weird and odd that no one had mentioned it.

I suppose, though, it's like a lot of the implausible stuff in this (and most other) comedies. You just have to ignore it and enjoy the film.
