After watching it, the ending left me so disappointed! For me, the entire film was building up to what would be, something of a huge climax. I mean, he kept piling lie, after lie, after lie all to get with this girl, and he tried so hard throughout to cover up his lies! So, WTF happened? I was expecting EVERYTHING to blow up in his face; suddenly, Palmer discovers that he was lying to her, about the fake kids, about the fake wife... Danny tries to persuade her but she's too hurt. He wants her but also he wants Katherine, etc... Suddenly, he just """broke it off""" and now they're happy together!! Like WHAT THE FVCK?!?

Yeah, I feel the same. I wanted a much more crazy, funnier ending. The movie is already pretty preposterous. It may as well go all the way.

Personally I'm glad they skipped the conflict. Screenwriting 101 dictates that the whole situation needs to blow up before it can get resolved but this movie was like a 2 hour episode of a sitcom. Likeable characters having a fun time, makes for an easy watch.
