Could've Avoided Whole Thing.....

When the 3 of them were at the restaurant and Katherine answers the phone and it's about the kids. When Palmer said "You have kids?" he could've gotten away with saying they were Katherine's kids from a previous marriage. He never said how long they were married before they decided to "divorce." But then there'd be no movie, I know.....

True. Or could say it's her current bfs kids as she's going to be their stepmom.

Oh yeah. That makes perfect sense. Who is going to see a 15 minute movie. Its called a plot device to move the movie along. You aren't supposed to dissect the film like that. Lots of films do that.
