'You know what you are'

Did anyone else find this scene between Dexter and Jasmine really touching? There's something about the way she says, 'You know what you are" (combined with the music) that makes this scene incredible. I take it Jasmine's paying her father a compliment, but she's too shy to say it, although I'm not even sure to be honest ...
The little girl's acting was very impressive in the scene and a good film overall.

Absolutely! Very touching! That scene felt very intimate and I thought, wow... if I was the father of this kid I would feel very proud of my little girl, like I did a good job raising her too. I don't think she was too shy to pay him a more direct compliment, I got the impression she was just too smart to give it to him so easily, she was almost teasing him in a very endearing and complicit way. Those brief two comments she makes in that scene just show how smart and witty she really is. Considering she is a very young girl makes it just way more impressive. Loved it!

Good point, I think you're definitely right about her teasing him with what she says, rather than giving him a direct answer.
