hard to defend this

As a movie lover who's hobby is watching movies and writing about them, I watch a lot of movies. More than one should probably. While I like both of these actors, this movie is a miss. I don't blame the actors as much as the writers. By the end of the movie, I found myself not caring at all if these two ever got together. Hollywood keeps making movies where the couple shouldn't be together. Why? I'd rather watch a movie about two people who should be together and can actually make it work. The only movie that pulled off the circle trying to be in a square was '500 Days of Summer.' One day lacks in almost every category

I'd recommend reading the book.

But I don't understand why you felt the couple shouldn't be together. And I'd compare it more to When Harry Met Sally than 500 Days of Summer.

I agree, the book is so touching and this film isn't!
