Jim Sturgess

Why can't he make a good movie? He seems to only make okay movies. I like him and all but he just needs to find that great role.

I thought "21" was a pretty good movie. I know there was a bit of hate towards the casting choices, but overall, I think Sturgess and his colleagues did a good job.

Please check out the "Fifty Dead Men Walking" and "Heartless".Both films are indie films,so sadly these are little seen, but Jim is fantastic in these two films.Jim is definitely one of best young actors in many years.

Sorry for my English.

Agreed, those are my favourite films of his. He is definitely above most of the material he is given in terms of how talented he is; it's oftentimes just wasted.

Agreed. Both of those films are fantastic. Mr. Sturgess is an outstanding young actor with an incredible singing voice to boot. He'll catch on here in the states, but even if he doesn't he'll do fine in the rest of the world. Such talent cannot go unrewarded.

Actors do not have a job...they have a blast!

I thought he did an outstanding job in this movie. He played a "lost" young adult who seemingly had everything going for him but simply _didn't know_ how to finally 'grow up' More than a few people out there like that these days. Nice people, just honestly don't know how.

I thought Across The Universe was pretty great. He's still a relative unknown so it will take some time for him to work his way up to a movie like, well, I don't know what kind of films you think are great, but movies like The Social Network and The King's Speech. So far the roles he's played have been a bit quirky, not really mainstream. Regardless of what you might think of this film, this will help the industry see him as a romnatic lead, rather than a more left of center character actor. This may be the start of bigger things for Jim in Hollywood. I wish this film had done a little bit better at the box office, but it's already grossed $10 million and Lone's last film, An Education, grossed around $12 million, and most of that was after it got nominated for all the Oscars, it's not doing too badly as far as indie Brit films go.

Are you serious?
Every film I've seen Sturgess in he's been superb. He was fabulous in "Fifty dead Men walking" and in "Heartless", it's lovely to see someone who can actually act getting some credit oppose to another Hollywood pretty boy. The type that come from America...I hate to generalise but it's somewhat true...and survive in the industry because of their good looks. It's refreshing to see someone with talent working their way up.

he's hardly a munter anyway lol

Yes, I was supposed to write that. However he's hardly an Ed Westwick of whom my flat mates seemed to adore. personally I think Jim is much more attractive.

He's a child lol, sturgess is a man ;)
