IT'S BACK! Season 7 begins in July..

Sounds like the cries of fans were heard and looks like ID is bringing it back to its old format? Hopefully with the same narrator. There are 10 episodes listed on IMDB, but maybe they are filming a few more since the past seasons were longer than 10 episodes.

I hope this continues on for several more seasons like forensic files. I wish they would do Amy Lynn Bradley and Brian Shaffer cases. Anyone have any cases they wish they would do?

My only gripe is that I hope they stop doing episodes where the person is found only because I would rather them focus on cases to help find people who are still missing. Also maybe add an update at the end of old episodes since some of those cases have been resolved.

I'm still wondering if anything has been found with the DNA from the Leah Roberts case.

Whoa! This is great news. 

I wish they would do Amy Lynn Bradley
Have you seen the episode of "Vanished with Beth Holloway" about Amy Bradley? It did a pretty good job of exploring the case.

I REALLY hope they're going to do updates on some of the old episodes!

I did see that. I think there is a strong possibility she is still out there somewhere and it would bring more attention to the case again.

I have a page on facebook and a petition also to bring Disappeared back on air! I'm beyond excited about this news!!! Roll on July!!!!

I just found out about this today. I'm so happy! Not only is this one of their best shows, but it also serves a greater purpose than just simple entertainment and curiosity-seeking.

I hope it stays around for as long as there are missing in need.

reply

Man, I just have to commend you for wording all that so perfectly. I couldn't agree more. :D

reply

Wo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :) I want to really celebrate the fact that ID seems to have gotten a clue and are bringing this show back for us! So many times a great show just "disappears" for no reason. Hurray for the return of this much needed show!

reply

It's actually back on April 11. Hope it's the old format / production team and not like the newer specials they had over the last couple of years.

Interestingly, the show's original narrator, Chris Walker, is used for the promo on ID, so hopefully he'll also be narrating.

reply

Oh, ok. Because when I look up Disappeared on the ID channel, they're still showing old episodes of past seasons and nothing from season 7...

reply

It probably was July and they moved it up (how ID keeps track of their schedule and multiple series and repeats can only be made possible by 21st century computing).

ID is showing a promo of season 7 with an April 11 premiere. And, the voiceover for the promo is the original narrator, Chris Walker. Have to presume it's going to be the original format of investigated disappearances.

reply

I too hope that Christopher Walker is the narrator! I had heard otherwise on Reddit, but I'm crossing my fingers and toes that CW will still be with us this new season!

What is it about his narration that is so appealing? I think it might be the tempered, intimate way he speaks to the audience. He's not bombastic or snide at all. Anything else that makes him unique, good or bad?

reply

I recorded a preview of the new season and unfortunately there is a new Narrator. It definitely changes the tone of the show...I liked the original person better. However I will still be watching.

reply

Not me. Besides being just different, the new narrator just shouts at you versus Walker's more "engrossing-story" / come-sit-by-me style of narration. 10 seconds into the new version and I was done. Too bad.

reply

Sad to say but @grt2009 is right. This narrator ruined the show for me.
