She really doesn't seem to like this type of attention. Her family appears to be private unlike some others.
Frankly I'm sick of seeing Beth Twitty. I feel for her and her family but her neverending mugging for cameras is annoying.

I agree with having my fill of Beth Twitty. I also agree that I feel sorry for the family and I hope the case is finally solved, but enough is enough.
Unless specified as fact, everything above is 100% my opinion.
I also agree on Beth Twitty. Natalee's disappearance has already gotten a lot of attention and I think someone like Joe Pichler should get more media attention especially since he was a child actor.
shareI'd love to see one on three springfield, missouri woman (well, 2 teenage girls & a mother) who all went missing back in 1992. I've always wondered what happened that they could just up and vanish without no one seeing anything. I live about an hour from Springfield on the Arkansas side and wished this would be solved. http://www.springfieldmo.gov/spd/generalinfo/3missingwomen.html

That was tonight's episode.
sharelol .. as soon as I saw it listed as the Springfield Three, I was excited. I hadn't heard much on this story and living an hour away, I've always found it so sad for the families to not have closure (I feel sorry for all of them, but I've been wondering about this case for years). I dvr'd it, but I haven't had a chance to watch it.
I'm glad they did this story, though. I noticed a news website for Springfield www.ky3.com had a short news story saying the police had gotten a few tips since this story was aired.

tracey,
i wonder why the families didn't pay to have that cement dug up in the parking garage since the town and hospital didn't want to pay.
couldn't they have at least drilled a hole in the cement so dogs could sniff for bodies?
lily - I finally watched the episode last night. I asked my husband the same thing ... I mean I would think they'd have to get permission from the owner of the property (which, I think, was Cox South Hospital). But I can't imagine the hospital would turn them down if the families agreed to pay for it.
This had been a rumor for several years and I can't imagine the families' frustrations. Not only that, but I noticed the police dept said that it was hard to imagine that someone would dump bodies there because it was "under construction." I thought that was odd ... IMO that's the perfect location to dump murder victims, esp knowing it was going to be a parking garage & soon be covered with concrete.
Also, something that bothered me ... the weird phone message that the mother erased on the woman's answering machine. Could the police not subpeona phone records to see where the phone call originated from? I just thought that was odd.
This is just such a sad case because I remember when it happened. I was just about the age of the 2 girls. It was just like they had vanished without a trace.

I think Holloway and Smart are too high profile for an episode on this- part of the appeal of this show (for me at least) is I really don't know any of these stories. Besides, this show is good to showcase the cases that don't get attention- those two have plenty of attention.
The night is a very dark time for me.
I want them to concentrate on the lesser known cases also. Just maybe it will spark something in somebody and the case may be solved.

Trevor Angell (Read some really bizarre thread on a message board about him, link here: http://mydeathspace.com/vb/showthread.php?20104-Trevor-Angell-missing-since-2000)

I like watching the lesser known missing people stories, I also think it's good to bring more attention to them.
I just saw the one on Roxanne Paltauf...kind of sad, but to me it seemed like it was one of those cases where she may have been the sweet, caring person to her family, but that there was another side to her they didn't know about.
I always wonder when people say "She wouldn't do something like that", but to be honest a lot of people have secrets and act differently in front of family because they don't want to lose that innocence.
Don't get me wrong...I don't think she deserved anything that happened to her, but I think family members sometimes need to think outside of the box and take every scenario into consideration.
It's time to fish or cut the bait
I would like to see one about Brian Shaffer, who went missing in April 2006. He was a med student at Ohio State and was last seen entering the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a bar near the campus.
The whole family's story is so sad. The mother passed away a few weeks before Brian disappeared, and in 2008 his father was killed in a freak accident. His brother is the only one left now.
See you Space Cowboy...

There was a Dateline special about him, but still. What a weird story.
