seemed to be a nice man liked by everyone...very simple...no phone, internet, credit cards... beautiful paintings he did.

The bloodhound did trace his scent no more than a few feet from his truck, so he did get a vehicle with somebody else, which is unlike him.

Maybe he was stopped at gunpoint against his will. Did the Dollar General have a security camera?

Seems like he was very close to his family, so very unlikely it would be an escape with another person, especially since he was planning a trip to Michigan. Also doubtful it was a suicide. And the hobo life would work if he kept in contact with his family. Odd that no accidents were reported with the second vehicle.

Did they stop by the big Burgess tree house for clues? Maybe there's a Burgess house or a criminal named Burgess.

What a sad case. My prayers are with the family.

the only security camera showed him going into the store (CORRECTION) no cameras in the parking lot... David was not seen on the security footage from inside the store...but a friend saw him at the store hours earlier.......I think you are right about the people where he got the bricks...they are unique so maybe that will be a help...they should have a good pic of the bricks on the facebook page...

so odd that that pic showed up in his sisters file at the chiropractors officedid she ask the staff how it got there and what was their answer

he had a talent for painting and building with rocks and bricks

someone on facebook said they should check building supply places since there was a house being built and possibly truck rentals around that time

I know the people who had those bricks didn't come forward...but...who made them, they are unique...why haven't they come forward???

we need a good clear picture of one of those bricks

.....so...did some googling on a bunch of sites, can't find a picture of these unique bricks, only found something that said they were antique.

so David went to this place and got bricks and they were building a house...wouldn't those people have to get some kind of permits for that???

...I would like to think that those kind of records were checked

Personally I think the people that he met while he was gathering the bricks had something to do with his disappearance. I think he was meeting the guy at the store to discuss the job he wanted to do and the guy probably said he wanted to show David something and insisted he go in the car with him. If he was wanting the job he probably just went along with it. I think something was going on at the property that he wasn't supposed to see and they decided to get rid of him fearing he would talk about it.
I agree 100%. I don't for one second believe that he voluntarily ran off for some crazy, anonymous adventure. He was too close to his family, and friends, to just up and disappear like that on purpose. I REALLY hope they're able to find the source of those unusual bricks, and do a thorough investigation on that property.

I also believe he's dead.

It was strange how the name "Burgess" kept coming up. Weird.

I agree, it definitely has to do with the people who didn't like him with his new upcoming job.

Those are all great ideas with checking for permits, truck rentals and building supply stores.

Also the cops should hit up criminals arrested for meth dealing and try to cut a deal for informing.

I agree...if it was a random robbery for the money he took out, then why didn't those people come forward where he was supposed to have that job (where he was getting the bricks)

I don't understand why there isn't a picture of the brick available since they are sooooo unique.

someone mentioned on the facebook page that since the brick are so unusual and unmarked, maybe they were made by the Amish
