...in the disapointed thread I said maybe we should give the show a chance, maybe they will tweak it.

But I made this thread if you feel strongly and want to let them know

I really doubt they will care if people don't like the new narrator or whatever else they are whining about. This show is doing a service for missing people, I don't care if the narrator sucks, there are much more important things about this show then someone being annoyed by a voice over.

you are absolutely right and I am glad you posted it! finding the missing is THE most important thing....I said in the other thread we should watch several episodes and give it a chance..they might tweek it a little..

we can use this to let them know we are happy that the show is back...even if it is a little different

The point is that if the narrator or new tweaks are not good then it won't get new viewers and could even lose some of the existing ones. Obviously the point of the show is to find the missing but the show needs viewers to keep it on the air.

The viewers shouldn't whine about how a voice sounds when it is a show that is clearly important. Most of the complaints I have heard so far are petty and ridiculous. Anyone who stops watching because of the sound of the voice clearly doesn't care about what is actually important, clearly they have never experienced losing someone like this otherwise they would get over it and still watch.

The importance of the show is not really the point though, if it doesn't have the rating than its going to get taken off the air. There are a lot of things that are important and should be highlighted on tv shows but they aren't because they don't get ratings. I'm just hoping this version grows on people and gets renewed for more seasons.

I hope so ,too...families need to be able to get their stories out about their missing members...we need to keep this show on the air

I just don't understand why we are a society where something like Keeping up with the Kardashians can get multiple seasons but something important like missing people can't keep viewers because they changed the narrators voice. Some people don't have the right priorities.

Agree, old narrator was much better. Happy show is back though. Helpful show for these families of missing people.

I think people were genuinely surprised by the new narrator.....and came and posted about it......yeah...the kardashians.....what a waste of breathable air...I hope disappeared stays on the tv.

Part of the problem with the new version is that in each case they are ALL still missing; the previous version had cases every so often where they were indeed found -- mostly dead but sometime alive -- so there was a suspense factor in each episode that's guaranteed to be totally missing now as this series purports to be doing a service during each episode, replete with contact information -- another change aside from the narrator that I'm not liking.
