Question about "Off the Grid"

http://www.abc15.com/news/region-phoenix-metro/central-phoenix/brian-histand-update-questions-remain-after-discovery-of-missing-man

This link appeared on January 26 with coverage of this story. Did the "Disappeared" episode appear before or after January 26? (I watched this episode of "Disappeared" online.)

The episode shouldn't have aired. Was there an "update" at the end in May? It might be my imagination, but it seems "Disappeared" is featuring more male disappearances. If the disappearance has been solved *so far in advance,* there's no reason at all for the family to have to endure it.

Endure what?

Wow. Just--wow.

off the grid episode was shown in may, 4 months after the january article the thread starter was referring to

Yes, I realized that, which was why I made the original post. As you can see, one respondent's posts were removed by an administrator. No way the network should have allowed this episode to be aired.

It could be very useful for other people to be aware of mental illness and the signs of that. It also puts pressure on the cops to try to avoid situations where they leave someone, who is showing signs of being unstable, in a dangerous situation. Although I think the M. Richards case showed that type of case in a better way.
