Home Movies was sooooo good. I miss it.

Yesss. Never thought about it (which is weird bc I LOVE both shows) but you are totally right!!

They are the same types of characters as Walter and Perry, except Walter and Perry had more of a future gay relationship feel, and Andy and Ollie are just close because they are twins. As far as Zander sounding like Jason, I hope you realize that H. Jon Benjamin also did the voice for Jason in Home Movies. As a matter of fact I am pretty sure he voices Jimmy Jr. on Bob's Burger's as well.

Laura Silverman was on Dr. Katz, Professional Therepist, with H.Jon Benjaman, who was on Home Movies. She was also on Home Movies as Brendan's step mom.
Eugene Mirman was also on Home Movies.
The dude who played Mr Lynch is Ron, the health inspector.
The dude who played Fenton is Hugo, the health inspector.

I'm sure there are more people who have done both shows, but those are the only ones I've noticed.

ever notice Bob is the same voice as "Archer"? ...in some episodes of Archer, they actually make reference to it by having Linda & the kids on the show with their real voices from "Bob's burgers" including an episode where the character Archer gets amnesia & thinks he flips burgers in a diner.
