Pardon me for getting technical, but I do realize that producers tend to get very misleading when it comes to such movies these days. They tend to use taglines to grab your attention only for the sake of advertisement. In this movie, they say it's "inspired by true events". "Inspired" means you want to create or do something based on what you heard or saw. So the writer of Alice in wonderland could've claimed that his story was inspired by true events because one day, he found a deck of cards in a huge garden, and decided to write a story about human-sized characters dressed in cards in the garden (in fact, he did actually base the story on a real little girl named Alice in real life). When movies are inspired by a true story, or true events, the characters are usually fictitious. In contrast, when a movie is "based on a true story", the characters usually have the actual names of the real characters in real life. And the writers of the story will follow the actual events that happened in real life. SORT OF. lol A lot of the characters in real life will then claim that the movie is 99% inaccurate and all, but anyways, you get my point lol. It could be very misleading.
