Decent murder story because of Aidan Turner (spoilers-ish)

Aidan Turner is excellent and the story is involving enough in five episodes. But, I knew a character was involved simply because of his presence in the show. And man, those two cops were complete idiots. Always disbelieving, always one step behind. I realize that's the story but come on they were dip shoots. I could barely keep from yelling at the screen when they did some inane thing. Still Aidan Turner. On Sundance and AMC+

My thoughts exactly! God help us if this is only remotely realistic with British (or any other) police. They home in on him from the beginning and only at the very end they manage to pull their brains out of their asses. And no apoplogy at the end to Aidan. For me, that was the worst insult to injury.
