The Ricky Gervais Show v. Family guy v. Simpsons

Hey guys, I've been a big simpsons fan for as long as I can remember, but recently over the past few years, I've been quite disappointed in the Simpsons, and the show has been getting worse and frankly, it's just not as funny anymore. Thus, I've been watching family guy, and it's actually quite good...which is ironic because I used to hate that show because I thought that it had just copied the simpsons...
For those who watch the Ricky Gervais Show, what is it like compared to the simpsons and family guy? Would you recommend it?

As the other poster said, it's a completely different show. The humor is not in your face but more like three guys sitting around talking the way you would do in a living room.

I think it's one of the funniest shows on tv. I love the dry British humor and Karl's ideas and theories and Ricky almost hitting the floor laughing. One I remember was they were talking about how a chameleon changes its colors to match it's environment, so Karl comes up with "What if you put it on a mirror?"

South Park beats the latter two and ties with The Ricky Gervais Show.
