In the episode where Karl is talking about going for a face rub he says he went with his mate Russell, he's actually talking about Russell Brand!
I suppose he didn't want to drop a celebrity's name so he didn't elaborate, and he wasn't animated as Russell Brand. Interesting though.

That won't be hard to find actually!
There were a few radio shows recorded in about 2006 with just the two of them, each sharing their stories and chatting, you might be able to find them online somewhere!
In fact on one of these shows they talk about how Russell convinced Karl to come along to get the "face-rub", then today when re-watching that episode of "The Ricky Gervais Show" Karl started talking about the face-rub and I thought to myself "I wonder if he's talking about Russell Brand" then he said "Me mate Russell..." so I'm assuming it's the same story!
It's interesting hearing Russell and Karl talk about it, hearing behind the scenes of stories told on "The RG Show" so you should try to find those shows online if you can!
