No s.4... but continuing the audio show?

I heard that they're not going to have a 4th series/season of the animated version of the show but that they are going to continue audio show. Is that right? If so it doesn't make sense, if they're going to continue in audio format then might as well just continue the animated version too. I'm guessing that they stopping with the show all together. No more animated. No more audio show.

Rickster said they are doing a new set of audiobooks that are filmed and not just audio.

A filmed audiobook. That makes no sense.
