you might not like it, but this movie will appeal to many people

This movie does what it was designed to do very well. Its not a tentpole budget film with A lister actors and director.

So the accents sound a bit off... who cares when the primary market is China and its overdubbed anyhow. This is an action film so they use first time director Nick Powell, who knows how to make that action look great, so where some of the acting lacked some finesse who cares the action looked great given the lower budget.

I'm assuming the cast met the requirements to draw people to theatres in china. Its a win. I'm sure they are going to make a ton of money having a film released in both China and US. Jeremy Bolt the producer has a great track record so I think a year from now the numbers will prove his creation was a solid idea.

So hate all you want, but the reason films like this get made is because they have the potential to entertain a lot of people and make a lot of money.
