Asians cannot judge western actors...

They immediately think, "A white western actor! will give us instant credibility!". Particularly if they are American and are well known as in this case. Not knowing that Nick Cage hasn't made a good movie in 20 years and they probably never saw the SW Prequels.

Europeans don't suffer from this but any film produced in China, Korea, etc you see this pattern.

Seriously, when is the last time you saw an epic film mixing cultures? They all suffer from cliches and end up being someone's fetish fantasy movie.

Stories are definitely lacking in the movie industry.

Not necessarily---that depends on the quality of the film, not just the mixing of cultures itself. And,yeah, the Chinese folks who co-made the film should have taken a good look at both Cage and Christiansen's track records-----Cage hasn't had a real box office smash in years, and other than the Star Wars films, Christensen hasn't got much of one, either. I'm thinking they may be bigger names (well,Cage, anyway) overseas, which is very possible, so that may be part of it.

What made you think this film was produced in Asia by Asian filmmakers? Do you not have eyes to check under the writer and director's name? and the studio that financed it? You see a whole cast of Asian and you automatically think this was made by Asians? How ignorant can you be.

The movie looks perfectly fine without Nick Cage and Hayden Christensen stinking it up. It's only when Nick Cage showed up in the trailer that it suddenly turned into a laughable joke.

As long a you're already on the site that lists it, it couldn't hurt to take a look at the producers of the film to see if your wildly general proclamation is relevant to this movie (hint: it isn't).
