Just watched it without any pretensions of who the actors were. Sure Cage and Christianson are probably not going to win an Oscar any time soon but who gives a rats arse. They make enjoyable films more often than not and that's good enough for me. This film was surprisingly very coherent. I would definitely rate it a 6-7 out of 10.

Can I trade in the children for more cash?
I watched it and Hayden and everyone and everything not named Nicholas Cage sucked ( especially the photography). I give it one star it would be zero without Cage.
