Jane is an annoying petulant child!
I'm finding her character to be more and more annoying with each season. If she talked to me the way she talks to most of the characters on this show, I would have punched her in the face!

shareI was just about to write on this board about how she has to be one of the most unpleasant characters on TV. She has no sense of humor and is a seriously wet blanket. Most people don't go out of their way to be rude to strangers, like at the end of the zombie episode.
shareNot to mention, glib too.
shareIt's hard to deny what you and the other posters have said.
WE GOT MOVIE SIIIIIGN!
She is obviously lonely. I find myself getting annoyed with her about the way she talks about her mother, who has IMHO been a very good mother to her and loves her very much. She's better to Vince and Maura than to her own family (she's okay to Frankie, I guess).

Sorry but Angela to me is the most annoying character on the program. While she may love Jane she has to be the biggest "butinski " on the planet! She always has to have her finger in every pie. Frankly I think Jane has shown tremendous restraint in dealing with her. At times I wanted to punch her in the face.
shareI just don't understand why they turned a cool tv cop, into someone completely unlikable.
And, what's worse is that the showrunners has turned every subplot into the Rizzoli Family hour, with Maura pushed to the side.
It's because the new showrunner's hormones are going crazy over Angie Harmon, so Jane gets to do whatever Angie wants (including wearing Angie clothes that the original Jane Rizzoli would've thrown away at first sight), she gets to be "funny" the way Angie wants (which isn't funny at all), and she gets to play with the characters Angie wants (i.e. anybody BUT Sasha). If "Isles" wasn't in the title of the show, Sasha would've been booted as soon as Jan Nash took over.
shareI agree with you, the sheer favoritism Jan Nash has for Angie/Jane is obvious, makes me all the more happy to know that Sasha had recently won the 'Favorite Cable TV Actress' award at this year's PCA, instead of Jan Nash's "golden girl" Angie.
shareMy husband and I have watched the whole series together, and then he suddenly quit halfway through last season because he couldn't stand Jane anymore. He said she was always complaining about everything.
I don't mind her at all. But I did get frustrated when she shut down the jukebox playing Thriller, in the zombie episode. They were having a great time dancing! Arg.

"Do you feel fortuitous? Well, do you? Hooligan?"
Yea, that's what prompted me to post on this thread. We are supposed to get a kick out of her being so crotchety and "over" the zombie thing but the zombies were all relatively helpful and she didn't know these zombies. So she's just being a jerk to total strangers who've never seen her before. Not cool!
shareIt started to get to me last season when she was in a mine field and just decided to totally ignore everything the bomb squad told her to do.

Omg don't get me started on that episode! I'm getting really sick of her whole "I'll put myself in a stupidly risky situation to comfort my friend, even when they try to send me away" thing. It's like every fracking episode where she puts herself in harms way for no reason. There used to be consequences when she did stuff like that but not anymore.

I agree, I used to be fine with Jane in the past but lately she's becoming more annoying, with the way she behaves towards strangers and even her own family...besides Maura and Korsak, she's rude to everyone else.
shareI actually think the only person she is nice to is Korsak, they have had their relationship build up to be the main focus in the last 2 seasons, there always having deep and meaningful bonding moments, I'm actually tired of seeing them. In my opinion she is actually rude to Maura she always seems to be annoyed with her. She can be nice to her mother and Frankie.
sharenah I think she's nice to Maura, she's always worried about Maura and her well-being, and lately with Maura's recent condition that's evident, she's always worried whenever something bad happens to Maura, it shows how much Jane cares about Maura as a friend. Whereas Jane is always insulting her family, especially towards her mother, Jane always seems to be annoyed with Angela and insulting & complaining about her to Maura. But I don't completely blame Jane though, Angela is just so annoyingly nosy and always butting into other people's business, if Angela were my mother, I would probably be just as annoyed with her.
shareI think that Korsak is the man she always wanted her father to be!
