Lorriane Bracco as Harmon's Mother.

in terms of looks i can see Bracco as Harmon's mother. now
i have gotten hooked on watching re-runs which Channel 9
airs in NYC on Sat. night. i looked up their ages and
Bracco is only 17 years older than Harmon. did the show
ever mention that Jane's mom got married really young?

Characters are not often the same ages as th actors portraying them.

Yes...just this season. It was when Angela was studying to get her GED.
