Then why would you want to have children?

Not that I'm trying to force anyone to believe, but I think that would have been a more natural, less confrontational & more Socratic line for him.

i feel yoders line was more in keeping with the actual attitude of amish i have known over the last nearly 40 years. At least the Lancaster County Amish

If you think you can do better, write your own script. Once you realize it doesn't make sense to anyone else but you, maybe then you'll see the truth.
