The rest is absolute crap. Good lord how awful was the ending of this film. Silverstone's make-up was horrendous and Ritter's fake crying as her friend dispersed into the air was one of the worst scenes I have ever seen.

I actually agree - when you thought it was just going to be a light-hearted horror comedy, with some conflicted romance, it was pretty good.
But then they decided to make some heavy-handed commentary on the evils of female sexuality, I mean, vampirism and the necessity of babies for all, and I just rolled my eyes.
The special effects were terrible throughout; I put up with them at the beginning because I thought it was for laughs. Not so much at the end.
No wonder it tanked. Man, this just really sucked. Literally, HA HA.
