The Behind-The-Scenes Look After Episode 4 Made Me Laugh

In the behind-the-scenes feature/add-on that they had at the end of the 4th episode, they were talking about how Sofia Falcone is supposed to be the hero of the show. That got a good laugh out of me along with a "get the eff out of here." There is only one hero in the show/universe/world, and that character isn't supposed to be making an appearance (I'm sort of a little iffy on that and don't trust them since they might be saving them for a surprise appearance). I'm obvious talking about Bruce/Batman. I don't know why they have to make this claim (although it's a bunch of women making that claim, so that might explain a lot) about Sofia when there is a character to already root for and there is already a hero. We aren't really meant to be rooting for anyone in this show. Since Bruce/Batman is supposed to be MIA (I think mainly Batman) from what people are saying because of news articles shown in Episode 1, we are pretty much watching what all the bad guys are up to. The Penguin is supposed to show the aftermath of the events of The Batman and build to where The Batman 2 picks up. Plus see what Batman has to deal with later on and put an end to. So we have a hero already. At the most, we are supposed to root for The Penguin/Oz to get out of the situations he keeps finding himself in. Plus maybe reaching the top of all the mob stuff going on in Gotham. Sofia is no hero. I just look at her as someone else Batman is supposed to take down. In a way, Sofia could be looked at as some political agenda or "woke" stuff they are trying to shoehorn in. Mostly because of having Batman as the hero character. Just leave it (the show) at a bunch of mobsters trying to kill each other/screw each other over until Batman can come in and start effing up stuff and having them all arrested and thrown in prison (Blackgate) or Arkham. It's not like Batman and Sofia are going to team up in The Batman 2. They can make Sofia an interesting character like Penguin/Oz, but don't start this hero narrative/agenda with. I think we already have a female hero character too with Catwoman/Selina. And Selina is a Falcone too. So if they want to have a hero Falcone so bad, they got one with Selina/Catwoman. Plus she already teamed up with Batman and is pretty much a "good" Catwoman than villain Catwoman.

In a way, it feels like everyone working on the show didn't really watch The Batman. It seems like they just got some basic info and went from there. But The Penguin already has a hero. So I got a good laugh when I watched that Behind-The-Scenes feature attached to Episode 4. Also, I don't hate the show. I'm enjoying it. But I just had to call out this stuff everyone who is working on it is saying about it.

I have nothing to add. I absolutely agree with every word you just typed. Well said! 👍

She is not coming across as heroic to me. Tragic, maybe, but a tragic villain nonetheless.

I agree. The actress is ugly as sin and the show runner trying to insert her feminist gender politics into the show is so laughably dumb. They're horrible people, I don't care if this wretched cunt of a character speaks her 'truth' or not!

Critical Drinker is out of his mind recommending this. I found Kenobi less woke and insulting to the viewer's intelligence practically. Was he drinking a fifth of scotch when he overlooked how the pure good hearted Puerto Rican kid (with the perfectly styled $200 afro) is a Marty Stu? Only white people are bad, POC are victims of crime!
