Really Enjoyed the Pilot…..BUT. (Spoilers!)

Thing is I find it hard to believe that Oswald is eventually going to wind up “quacking” at some point. You have to admit, it WOULD be the dumbest thing ever to have him do. With this portrayal I would find it hard to take him seriously after that, unless you’re saying that he becomes more mentally fractured than he already is, that the quack would be a nervous tick or something like that down the road. IF the producers are smart, they’ll forgo it altogether.

What really struck me so far is the character of Sofia Falcone. She gives me the chills! When you first see her, it’s communicated instantaneously that this woman is no joke. That’s how good a job the actress portraying her has done. She’s unhinged! Boy does it show! Btw I know NOTHING of the character, never did, never heard of her before but I never made it a point to read the comics or graphic novels so I never knew she even existed.

Like me does anyone else find themselves debating whether Sofia really does like or care for him in any way? She seems she does, she must have known him for quite a while, even as far back as her childhood. But whenever anyone says to you “Well I see you’ve come up in the world” it’s usually always an accusation and not a compliment of any kind.

Find it hard to believe she ever bought Oswald’s story, especially when he tried to run. If she was ever deceived even for a moment early on, that went out the window when he fled which I feel was a HUGE mistake on his part, especially when he got identified in the car. If you were him how would you try to explain that? Once he got busted I thought you bite the bullet and get out of the car and go up to them and ask “What’s up?” He’s a great liar, pathological even, I’m sure he could do something but as luck would have it, she already knows he is. Do you think having Victor crash the car with Alberto’s body in the trunk is going to throw her off? Or is she going to see through that too?

But I have to say Oswald going to meet Salvatore Maroni in prison and giving him Carmine’s ring was a master stroke of planning. He set that up nicely, where I have to wonder when he snipped the ring finger off of Alberto’s body & took the ring from it if he had that planned right there & then what he was going to do. That’s some foresight he possesses if that’s true, I know I don’t have that.

When he sat down with Salvatore he knew that he was going to tell him to go f*%k himself in so many words but he was there only for the purpose of giving him the ring so when the other inmates saw that he had it, Sofia & the Falcone family would definitely get the word. The walls do talk in prison you know. Then she’d have to decide who really was responsible or what to believe. Sorry to say but realistically she’d still kill Oswald anyway in any real world scenario but hey it’s the movies where this stuff happens. As the saying goes “It’s best to make sure.”

As for giving Salvatore, Carmine’s ring I thought inmates couldn’t have any possessions. Once the guard saw Oswald give him the ring, wouldn’t she have confiscated it? Plot hole? The other prison guards are going to see that bling. Love Clancy Brown & his character seems drop dead serious so I’m excited to see how this is all going to play out. Hopefully you all agree.
