Yeah, I kinda felt sorry for Will. He was a serial cheater but harmless. He didn deserve to go to prison for murder he didnt commit for 25 years because he cheated on his wife. Why show pretended that its ok and happy ending I dont know. Not to mention poor Garth who suddenly went full killer mode for no real reason. He just did it because writers decided to make him. That was out of character.
Same with Will who suddenly went full psycho and demanded her to stay with him and threatened to put her in prison if she will refuse. That was out of character too. They just needed to put him in prison to give her "happy ending". Ans so that people would not feel sorry for him. So suddenly from confused cheating fool he turned into abusive monster.
And I was almost annoyed with her. She was such unsympathetic character. She was so freaking intense all the time. Mentally on the edge. Yet doing nothing. When she knew he was a cheater. Then decided to murder him and couldnt do it. Then killed his mistress in a moment of mental breakdown.
Best realistic decision for them would be to just divorce when murder was pinned on Garth and move on with their lives. He didnt love her and cheated. Her asking first for divorce was basically a blessing for him. He didnt have to dump her and being afraid she would rat him out. Them divorcing and going their own way should have been an ending.
