Seeing as the nerve had been severed, would he have felt anything after cutting through the rest of the cartilage?

shareI'm not a student of medicine but I would think so. With the way the nerves seem to branch out you'd think that any sensations he'd lose from what he did would be "down stream" of the nerve he cut.
shareHe wouldn't feel sensations from the distal piece, but would still feel the proximal part of the arm.
