Don't drink your own urine

I read in one thread they thought Aron drank his own urine, I don't recall that he did.

My understanding is urine is high in salt content, that's one way our body ejects excess salt.

So to drink it means we're actually dehydrating ourselves, as too much salt compared to water is being ingested.

So if you're dying of thirst, don't drink you're urine.

It's the same reason you don't drink oceanic salt water when you're dying of thirst, unless you want to speed up your death.

Wow. Thanks for that great tip. I shall make sure I never drink my own p!ss. Good job I read this post.
Who knew?
NB what about Kevin Kostner in Waterworld? He drinks his own pee after filtering it through some sort of Heath Robinson filtration contraption, as I recall.
OP - would it be OK to drink your own p!ss if you filter it first through, oh, I don't know, a sponge or a sock full of sand? You know, only if you were really really thirsty and miles from home?

I read the book. He let most of the salt settle, and strained off the liquid. I've heard both schools of thought, from various sources.

"I'm not A1nut because I'm normal...."

I think it is ok if it is clear

How about someone else's p!ss? Can you drink that? Or is it just your own you can't drink, like you can marry someone else's sister, but you can't marry your own? I'm wondering because my wife's had an idea...

I think women can drink other womens piss. I saw a video of it once.

Aron did it right. In a survival situation like that, drinking urine is a last resort to extend your life for 12-24 hours. You can't just keep drinking your pee and survive for days, but once you run out of water it can keep you alive just a little bit longer.

They always drink their urine in survival tv shows, if survival experts do it am sure it's ok. Plus it's a common fetish called watersports/golden shower, I've never tried it myself but hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have and their still alive.
