just read the book and
It's funny that the movie is on Sundance right now and I hate it.
It's Danny Boyle's fault. He puts his stupid pretentiousness all over the human story and it's distracting.
Specifically the inside mechanism of the camera rewinding and the parts moving the tape around. That's absolutely distracting and removes the viewer out of the reality of the isolation simply for visual effects. Not really helpful to the consistency of the story.
I just sat through the scene where James Franco is pretending to be a television show interview. Canned laughter ! What!?!?
Turning it off now.
