The Raven flying by every morning

Are some birds that methodical when it comes to what time they get up and fly and specific routes? And did the real guy also talk about seeing a Raven every day or was this just added for the movie.

Yes, Aron saw it every day.

Aron saw it every morning around the same time but on that last day where he eventually decided to cut his arm off, he did not see the raven which he thought meant a sign of death in some way.

Perhaps it was Odin's raven watching over him.
