the fake jumpscares ruined it for me

i was kinda liking it, until i noticed there was too many fake jumpscares. if i'm correct, there is about 12 scenes in which the camera moves slowly through the silent woods, and then a character appears, with a high sound, scaring the audience and he just say "oh, hello".
i swear to god, there was one particular part in the movie where there are 3 scenes exactly like this in less then two minutes. i almost walked out.

Yeah the films kinda gained a rep for abusing the jump scare quota (probably the most since 2010's Nightmare On Elm Street remake). I didn't get to feel the irritance though cause the theater I saw it in was at a pretty low volume, so all those obvious jump scare attempts just looked... lame. Felt like yelling "TURN IT UP. THE MOVIES LOOKING EMBARASSING."

I counted and that scare happened 7 times.
The 6th time a character did that....He was stabbed in the neck and rightly so!

I agree. Even in the most intense final 30 minutes they had to throw like 2-3 more 'jump scares' in there to ruin it. Also the cardboard characters and questionable acting weren't too flash either.
