Wound? *spoiler*

When Ashely became ill from her infected wound, I expected for the film to feature a possession of sorts. What did she pull from her leg and what was the deal behind the strange pulsing cut?

a lot of things were left unexplained, and it is never indicated if it is the Blair Witch who infected her leg or whether it was just a completely unrelated event.

I think one of the reasons people loved the first movie is that it was very ambiguous - it is never explained what it actually happening to them, if there really was a witch, why they could not find there way out of the woods, etc. there was even one theory going round arguing that they were all tricked into going into the woods and then murdered by a plain old human serial killer who was using the witch legend to cover his tracks - "it wasn't me who killed them, it was THE BLAIR WITCH!".

People loved that kind of ambiguity.

this film removed all of it, and some people were not happy.
