My family loved it...why so much hate

I saw this with my dad, my two sisters and a friend and it was the most fun experience ever. My sister was so scared she started crying,, and from what I could see the whole theatre was in a similar state to her. Sure the movie had flaws but it's a horror film. The main goal is to scare you, and the fact that it made me hesitant to close my eyes last night means it's done its job. And I watch horror movies every second night, I'm very conditioned to scares and horro but it still had me jumping at some points, it was different to the first one, yeah, but what did you want? A shot for shot remake? No, people just hate it because it's new and they're trying to be cool by following the new trend of hating everything. Some people did genuinely dislike it for various other reasons, but a majority of people just don't like it because they're following the crowd. All that aside though, I give it an 8. Great cinema experience,

What are you talking about? Most of the complaints I have seen are people saying it's way too similar to the original, not that it's too different.

If you liked it, great. But don't put others down for not liking it. There's an overwhelming disappointment surrounding this movie - that doesn't just come from people "following the crowd". If soooo many poeple are saying that something is bad, then there's got to be something wrong with it.

I guess you should think yourself lucky that you liked it. I wish I had liked it.
