What if instead of 'Blair Witch'

We got a semi edited down version of "The Absence of Closure", Lisa's documentary about James, along with two separate stories about the same ambiguous loss. The movie then turns into what we got in BW, after about 20 minutes of the rough edit of the interviews she did and then BOMBSHELL, we find out James' connection, along with the new footage, so on and so forth. I think this would have been more true to the original, in that it was always going to be called The Blair Witch Project and it was even slightly put together in the way it was originally intended before it turns into a nightmare. Just a thought... I would have enjoyed the marketing they would have come up with and the reveal they would have done.

You came up with a better idea for free and in less time than it took a professional who got paid a small fortune.

Could be interesting. Some things I think would have to be changed.

For me, one problem is this happened when James was 4. He's just not going to have very involved memories of Heather. His closest relationship in this movie is more with the tape than the actual person. To me, they either have to make him older or set the movie in the late 90s/early 00's. Show a bit of their relationship.

Another, get rid of Peter and Ashley. I don't know if parts were cut out, but neither did anything at all. He's belligerent and she gets a root in her foot. With just Lane, Talia, Lisa and James, it would work better.
