Okay, the last 20 minutes was pretty good. But it's been 20 years since Heather from the original disappeared in the forest and her brother decided that he will find her sister after 20 years. 20! Twenty! T-w-e-n-t-y! Absolutely makes no sense..

He said he was looking for any evidence to show what happened to her, not just her. Once he realized there was the whole weird time loop thing going on, he got his hopes up thinking that meant she was still alive (hence him running in the house thinking he sees her, which, it might honestly be her)
